Six Line Wrasse

The Six Line Wrasse (Pseudocheilinus hexataenia) is a colorful marine fish native to the Indo-Pacific region. Recognized by six distinct horizontal lines on its slender body, it showcases vibrant hues of blue, green, and yellow. Typically reaching four inches in length, this diurnal species is agile and active, foraging for small invertebrates in coral reefs. With pronounced sexual dimorphism, males display more intense colors. Popular in aquariums for its peaceful nature, it requires a well-established tank with hiding spots. The Six Line Wrasse contributes both visually and ecologically to marine aquariums.
